Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about AnimatedEmojies.

Can I use these animated emojis commercially?

It depends on the license of each emoji. Most emojis on our site are licensed under CC BY 4.0, which allows commercial use with attribution. Check the license shown on each emoji's page for details.

What does attribution mean? How do I attribute?

Check the license and author for each emoji you use. For CC BY 4.0 emojis, include a credit like: "Animated emoji by [Author], licensed under CC BY 4.0" with a link to the license. In videos, a small text in the credits works. In apps, include it in your about/licenses section.

What file formats are available?

Each emoji can be available in up to three formats: WebP (animated, best quality-to-size ratio), GIF (universal compatibility), and Lottie JSON (vector-based, programmable, best for apps and web). Not all emojis have all formats — Lottie JSON is only available for Google Noto emojis. The available formats are shown on each emoji's download page.

Are individual downloads free?

Yes! You can download any individual emoji for free in any available format. The $10 bulk download is for the convenience of getting all emojis at once in all formats.

What do I get with the $10 pack?

You get all 720+ animated emojis in all available formats (WebP, GIF, Lottie JSON) as a single ZIP download. That's 2,160+ files total. You also get a download link valid for 7 days with up to 5 download attempts.

What if my download fails?

You have 5 download attempts. If you run out or your link expires, you can request a new download link using your purchase email. You can also contact us and we'll send you a new link or provide a Google Drive link.

Do you offer refunds?

Since the product is digital and instantly delivered, we generally don't offer refunds. However, if you experience technical issues preventing download, contact us and we'll help resolve the issue.

Why should I use Lottie (JSON) format?

Lottie animations use vector graphics, meaning they're scalable to any size without quality loss. They're smaller in file size, support dynamic properties like dark mode, and can be modified programmatically. Perfect for apps and websites.

Do the animations loop?

Yes, most animations seamlessly loop. In Lottie JSON files, the static "start" frame is typically marked as keyframe "rest" for precise control.

Where do these emojis come from?

Our collection includes emojis from multiple creators and sources. Each emoji shows its author and license on its detail page. The initial collection features Google's Animated Noto Emoji project, with more creators and styles being added over time.

Can I submit my own animated emojis?

We're building a platform for emoji creators! If you have animated emojis you'd like to feature, contact us through our contact page.

Can AI assistants and LLMs use this API?

Yes! We provide a public JSON API at /api/emojis for programmatic access. LLMs and AI agents can search, browse, and direct users to download emojis. See our llms.txt file for details.
